Southwest and Palma

This tour starts in the majestic city of Palma and invites you to discover the smaller villages in the south-west of Mallorca such as Puigpunyent, Galilea and Capdellà. We visit the harbour of Port d’Andratx, Sant Elm and the island of Sa Dragonera. On the way back we drive along the coast, passing Paguera, Santa Ponça, and the exclusive marina of Port Adriano or Puerto Portals and stop at the beaches of Palmanova.

From Palma you have to take the Ma-1 motorway towards Andratx.

Puerto Portals

This is one of the most luxurious marinas of Mallorca, Puerto Portals, with many high-end shops, gourmet restaurants, bars and wonderful views of fancy yachts and even fancier people. If this is still not stylish enough for you, then let’s continue on to the luxury marina of Port Adriano.

Port Adriano / Port de Andratx

This marina was designed by the legendary Philippe Starck and inaugurated in 2012. The next stop on our luxury marina tour could be Port d’Andratx. Here people follow the motto: “To see and to be seen”. You will find expensive restaurants but also cosy bars to enjoy the perfect sunset with fantastic views of the boats and yachts.

Es Capdellà

On your tour through the southwest of the island you will not be far away from the mountains. Before arriving at Andratx you could take a detour to Es Capdellà and then to the village of Galilea situated 402 m above sea level. At the end of the winding road you will be rewarded with stunning views of the sea and the mountains.

Sant Elm

And from Port d’Andratx it is worth taking another detour to Sant Elm. The southwesternmost part of the island still offers an unspoilt atmosphere, cosy bars and restaurants and a lot of nature. There are daily boat trips to the island of Sa Dragonera situated in front of the coastline. The shape of this 300 sq.m. island, in the form of a dragon, is the origin of its name. Dragonera is the habitat of numerous species of lizards and is also a nature reserve; hence access to the island is limited. However if you don’t like lizards, you can enjoy the sunset over Sa Dragonera from one of the restaurant terraces in Sant Elm.
