Famous for its weekly market amd its typical \u201cceller\u201d restaurants serving traditional Mallorca cuisine. Before heading for Campanet and the mountains, take a detour to Llub\u00ed, home of <a href=\"https:\/\/simplymallorca.info\/en\/portfolio\/son_catiu\/\">Son Catiu<\/a>, a renowned producer of excellent olive oil. This subterranean world of 3.200 sq.m. offers spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formations, fascinating grottos and enchanting subterranean lakes. In summer the caves are wonderfully cool, but don\u2019t forget to take a light jacket with you, because the temperature inside the caves never exceeds 17 degrees. Selva, also called the \u201cherb village\u201d, is located at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains. From the church situated high above the village you have a wonderful view of the mountains, the north coast and the centre and south of the island. Market is held every Wednesday.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1694017080955{margin-top: 40px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><b>Caimari<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Now follow the Ma-2130 road towards Caimari. You have arrived at the olive capital of Mallorca. Every autumn the village celebrates a major Olive Fair. Producers present their oils, wineries their wines, accompanied by typical Mallorcan delicacies and and a craftwork exhibition. Twice a day, at 11.45 am and 4:45 pm, the \u201cEs Blauets\u201d children\u00b4s choir sings the Salve Regina in the church&#8230;<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1694017090640{margin-top: 40px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1694016961109{padding-right: 30px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><b>Pollen\u00e7a<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Continue on the Ma-10 through the Tramuntana and the wonderful valley of Son Marc towards Pollen\u00e7a. A very attractive little town with narrow streets and cosy caf\u00e9s and restaurants. The market is held every Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>PUIG DE CALVARI | POLLEN\u00c7A<\/p>\n<p>The pilgrimage chapel at the Puig de Calvari. To get there, you have to climb 365 stone steps bordered by cypresses. This is the place where the famous Good Friday Procession takes place at Easter. The northernmost point of Mallorca is truly unique: wind and water have sculpted a fascinating and bizarre shoreline at the peninsula of Formentor, with steep cliffs and breathtaking views. From Port de Pollen\u00e7a a nearly 14 km winding road (Ma-2110) leads to Cape Formentor with its lighthouse and a car park. There are several lookouts on the way to the cape. Beware! No other place on the island offers such a Moorish atmosphere. The former Pollentia was built by the Romans in the year 70 B.C.; the archaeological remains can still be seen and visited. Its small pedestrian zone invites you to stroll, shop or just relax. High above the village there is an impressive fortress and the church of Sant Salvador. Visit the famous <a href=\"https:\/\/simplymallorca.info\/en\/portfolio\/cuevas-de-arta\/\">Cuevas de Art\u00e0<\/a> in Canyamel- the best experience for the whole family.
